I am writing this article to try and dispel some of the misconceptions about the Law as it applies to specifically MMD. Let me state categorically, that I am not a lawyer. In addition, please regard what I write here only as a basic guideline which points may or not be absolutely correct in the legal sense and are subject to correction by people with proper training in the areas which are discussed here. Specifically, do not treat this article as necessarily sound ‘Legal Advice’, rather it should be taken merely as a “Document for Discussion”. References to some of the points here written by real experts are noted in t
Do you understand why he/she wants to distribute for people who understand Japanese language use his/her model?
It is same as drive a car.
A man who don't understand road signs must not drive a car in public road.
It is a same.
A man who doesn't understand the rule has no rights to do.
Don't tell me you think that police forgive you by the poor excuse "I don't understand road signs!" ??
In this car's example, Japanese language password is a driver's license test.
"You have enough knowledge to drive a car or not." = "You understand Japanese language or not."
It is a test.
Cheating on the examination is equal that you tell the answer o
I want you to know.
These are my advice.
For example.
You get a model that "You can redistribute edited model."
It is NOT means "You can redistribute a material of parts".
"edit" that Japanese maker usually think is to edit from Normal Miku to Wedding dress Miku.
It is not means that you edit to delete the hair and the clothes and redistribute only the body.
Is it illegal or not?
It is depended on modeler.
A lot of modeler forbid to redistribute the original model (not edited).
Is only deleted parts model really "edited model"?
You say it is edited model: hair part, eyes part, body part, clothes part!
Do you think that modeler
I was wondering about the reason why Japanese MMD user does not trade MMD models and why oversea MMD user does it.
And I found one answer.
When Japanese MMD user writes the MMD model name and modeler's name in his/her work, he/she uses the word "okarishita mono" very often.
"Okarishita mono" means "things what I BORROWED."
This word shows the way of Japanese MMD users thinking very well.
He/she has MMD model data and he/she can use it, but he/she OWNS nothing.
The modeler is the only person who OWNS MMD model.
Model users are only borrowing models from the modeler.
So, trade of MMD models cannot be possible.
Who can trade the things
I am sure you have heard, as of late there's been conflict over the editing rules and the fact that most of the Hetalia Modelers know about the MMD groups and they have discussed their concern over illegal edits. Our beloved admin KaedeX503 (https://www.deviantart.com/kaedex503) wrote a journal about it here: http://kaedex503.deviantart.com/journal/MMD-Rules-HetaHetaDance-Please-Read-311840934
Here is HetaHetaDance's view on this affair and others like it:
"This group was founded to allow the most expressive freedom possible within the Hetalia MMD community and that is not going to change. You are still allowed to post whatever you want to our group and we will not stop you

Lately there's been confusion over the readme notes on models that come with both an English & Japanese version having different rules/conditions in them.
You're probably thinking it's not fair that the Japanese version has more freedom with editing models than the English one. Then there's this assumption that Japanese modellers are racist. This is not the case. It is merely a misunderstanding and I'll explain it here.
When overseas users break the MMD rules it's hard for the Japanese modellers to handle it because there is a language barrier. It's very difficult for a modeller to talk to the culprit when they both come from a different cu
